Women and Muscle

Weight training will give you the body you so much desire. Weight training will NOT make you look like one of those Bulgarian weight lifters or female professional bodybuilders. I guarantee it. Women have very little of the male hormone Testosterone in their body and therefore find growing large amounts of muscle very hard. The extreme freaky women you see in bodybuilding competitions are taking male hormones.

Remember though, if you think you are getting to big, (unlikely) you only have to stop for a few weeks and you will start to lose muscle. Muscle is not permanent. However, what is more likely, is that once you get firmer, leaner and stronger, and you start to fit into the clothes you could only dream of before, you will become quite protective of your new ‘muscle’ and will train hard to keep and show it off!

If you are one of these women that you complain you “bulk up,” when training with weights, you will probably find that you are not monitoring your bodyfat levels. Obviously increasing muscle, whilst still keeping your 28% bodyfat level, is going to give you a bulked up look. Keep the training up and lower your daily calorie intake. You will firm up, without the ‘bulked-up’ look.

CV Training
Doing CV training can to lose excess bodyfat, but don’t over do it: If you are going to add CV work, to your training schedule, I recommend the following…
1/ A long walk (around 1-2 Hours), a few times a week is great (not strolling, proper walking!)
2/ or a 30 minute jog or cycle ride (hard and intense, not a gentle cruise!) swimming is a poor exercise to lose excess fat. Swimming cools your body down and the water supports your body weight. )swimming can be a good sport for people who are recovering from injury or have had very little physical activity and are getting back into training.)

Tip: always do CV training first thing in the morning, before breakfast. Your body will be depleted of glycogen, causing your body to use stored bodyfat far quicker, whilst also causing growth hormone to be released, helping reduce bodyfat and increase lean muscle.

2 day a week routine – (for very busy people)
Monday
1/ Squats or Leg Press
2/ Leg Curls or Lunges
3/ Standing Calve Raise
4/ Incline Bench Raise
5/ Close Grip Bench Press
6/ Dumbbell Biceps Curl
7/ Ab Leg Raises

Thursday
1/ Behind neck Shoulder Press
2/ Side Lateral Raises
3/ Shoulder Width Lat Pulldown
4/ Close Grip Seated Pulley Row
5/ Triceps Push Down
6/ Crunches
7/ Hyper Extensions

Performing your ‘2 day a week’ workout correctly…
You get longer recovery on the ‘two days a week’ training routine. It is suitable for people with very little time. However, you still need to train hard and intense for it to work. The routine is designed to work some of the same bodyparts on both days.
Perform a maximum of around 10-12 reps for each exercise.

Don’t give up:
Remember the first few weeks are the hardest. Don’t give up! After the first 2-3 weeks, as your body adapts and you get addicted to the natural ‘high’ you get from training, you will start to feel great and really look forward to training. After 3 months of regular training and good results, training will become a way of life!

How to Make the Low Fat Switch to Only Eating Organic Foods

Some fat in the diet is needed to provide the fat-soluble vitamins A, D and E, and to make food palatable
However, the total amount in our diet coming from a variety of foods has risen to a high level-about 40 per cent of our calories consumed. Most of these fats are hard, saturated animal fats, the type of fat linked to the development of coronary heart disease.
Animal fats are always highly saturated and some vegetable fats may be saturated, e.g. hard margarine. Doctors believe that people who eat high saturated fat diets increase their risk of developing life-threatening cholesterol deposits in the lining of their arteries.
Recently, evidence has accumulated to show that habitual, high fat diets may also contribute to the formation of certain cancers. We are recommended to halve our saturated fat intakes, and cut our total fat by a third over the next 15 years.
To cut down on your fat intake, you must be aware of not only the visible forms of fat, but also fat hidden in foods. Visible fat is the fat you can see marbling and surrounding meat, or as butter, margarine, shortening or oil.
Invisible fat is hidden, but very much present in milk and cheese, baked goods such as pastry or cakes, and meat products such as sausages and pies.
Reduce total fat by;
Choosing lean meat, fish and poultry; limiting meat products such as sausages to occasional meals only.
Choosing skimmed, semi-skimmed or fat reduced milk, yoghurt and cheese.
Add fat during cooking only where necessary. Grill, braise, roast or casserole rather than fry. Drain any fat that collects during cooking.
Choose fresh fruit for puddings rather than baked desserts such as flans or cakes (you will also reduce your sugar by doing this!) use less fat in cooking and at the table.
Here is a great cholesterol busting vegetable, (if cooked properly).
Cooking Asparagus.
A well-known and successful exhibitor of fine vegetables who lives near our farm in Herefordshire, mentioned to me the other day that Asparagus was rarely properly cooked when sent to the table at home and in restaurants, because of the practice of submerging the whole of the stems in water, thus treating green tops and blanched bases alike.
The proper way is to cook it erect, covering the blanched stem with water, and leaving the green tender tips to be cooked by the steam. In that way it was found that the entire stem was completely done at the same time.
How commonly it is the case that, whilst the tops are boiled to death, the bases of the stems are hard and woody. It seems to be all a question of cooking.
Here is a wholesome Potato Recipe.
First bake a large baking potato, remove the insides, and rub through a wire sieve. Mix in beaten yolks of three eggs, a few drops of lemon –juice, pinch of salt and pepper; last thing, stir in lightly the whipped whites of eggs. Heat one-and-a-half ounces of soft butter or half margarine in your omelet pan Fry gently till the bottom is a pale brown, then place under a grill and brown the tops very quickly. Turn on to grease proof paper, sprinkle with chopped parsley, turn over half, and serve very hot.

How to Gain Unlimited Love and Happiness.

Make no doubt about it, love and happiness are your natural birthright. You do not have to endure loneliness or the emotional cruelty inflicted on you by others. You can have romance and fulfillment. You can win an admiring, caring love. You can have peace of mind. With our help all the love and happiness, fulfillment and peace of mind that you seek can and will be yours.
If you have always felt neglected by others, or that life never seems to run smoothly for you, then the chances are that, the relationship you had and lost is still blocking your natural feelings and perhaps other complexes buried deep within the recesses of your subconscious. As many people are not even aware, or do not wish to be aware, that such negative emotions can exist within them.
So then we have two problems, first the problem of the buried emotional complex it self and then the persons own refusal to believe that such a thing exists in the first place!
Many people, would have you believe, deep down actually we prefer to be lonely, neglected and mistreated! This seems a shocking, crazy thing to say but it is a fact of psychology which any psychoanalyst will confirm.
In childhood they were deprived of love and security and so they fed on negative, hostile emotions which their subconscious accepted uncritically. The subconscious will accept any emotion fed into it. It is totally uncritical and without powers of reason or deduction.
Years of such negativity, conditions the subconscious to reject love and happiness, because it only understands hatred, insecurity and loneliness. This is one reason that you might have a feeling of being uncomfortable when things are going well!
It is possible to try and reason with the subconscious, but because it has been fed negative thoughts for so long it always has the upper hand. We all recognize that such discomfort is without reason and try as one will it is impossible to fight this stupid feeling off.
When reason and emotion are in conflict nine times out of ten emotion wins. And, predictably, because of the discomfort felt at receiving happiness the happiness goes away to leave one lonely and miserable again.
If the soul is in conflict then the harmonious circumstances are repelled. This is a definite and indisputable fact of psychology. It is metaphysical fact, an axiom of Natural Universal Law.
So in order to usher happiness and fulfillment into your life, and all the things that make living worthwhile, you have got to achieve harmony within yourself. There is no use in sitting back and waiting for things to happen the subconscious will hang around you producing more and more negative thoughts, get up start thinking positively on how you intend to rekindle the love that you have lost, you must eliminate the inner discord and conflict within your mind.
It is possible to seek outside help but this can be extremely expensive, your money would be better invested in buying some good practical psychology books which will teach you all you will need to know on the best way to get over a breakup or the best way to handle a breakup, whether it be evaluating your relationship with your partner or exorcising your ex: and how to get rid of the demons of relationships past, all these are relevant to starting afresh with ways to get an ex back.
Trevor Dalley has been helping many couples to come to terms with their relationships over the last 30 years and would like to help you. More information on rekindling the lust for life can be found at Magick Of Making Up

How has AllergiClear helped others? “I just wanted to share with you the results I am having with your products. I (and, of course, my physician) was a little skeptical about whether or not the products would work for me, but I decided to try them anyway…Approximately 3 weeks ago, I went to my primary care physician, and told him I was not taking any prescription drugs anymore. He was not happy about that prospect, but I had decided that I was not better on the meds than I was off of them. At about the same time, or shortly before, I started using your BioVent. I have since gotten BronchoSoothe, AllergiClear.

I have yet to use the HistaDrops, but I have faithfully used the BioVent, AllergiClear, and have used the BronchoSoothe to alleviate wheezing when it has occurred… I must say that I am healthier than I have been in 7 years, and I am not having issues … nor have I had any problems since I started on "all natural" remedies. I will be ordering other products from you after I have gone through your catalog and discover what will help me.

I will not be doing ANY prescription drugs. I feel that my body has been poisoned enough… Thank you for your products, and I am thankful that I found your web site.”Each of the products listed above play' an integral role during your Stop Smoking process.

Although they can be purchased individually, this ultrapack has been created to complement each other and together they provide the maximum benefit during nicotine withdrawal. Nicotine addiction is a serious dependency that requires a serious approach to quitting!

Quitting isn't easy and each time you try to stop smoking and fail, it becomes more and more difficult. There are physical and psychological reasons quitting gets harder.

Physically your body builds up a resistance and psychologically you begin to see yourself as a failure - someone who cannot beat this addiction. If you need help and support to quit smoking you are not alone, most people do.

While it is possible to go "cold turkey" and quit without assistance, it isn't for everyone and it can be very difficult to do. So difficult in fact, that the number of people who break the habit without help is very small. Stop smoking in eight weeks and never smoke again! "Compared to other addictions, smokers who want to quit receive less support and less sympathy than any other addicts.

Yet nicotine addiction is one of the most difficult addictions to beat. I smoked from the age of 16 and 'quit' smoking many times, always to start again after a few months. Only with the help of natural remedies and lifestyle changes could I stop permanently. I haven't had a cigarette in 5 years.

Follow the same steps as I did and you can do it too!" - Michele Carelse, Clinical Psychologist How does the Stop Smoking UltraPack work?

STEP 1 - Preparing to Quit (4 weeks)The first thing you need to do is determine your quit' date!
Preparation is very important in this 3-step Stop Smoking process. You will need to start using Rx-Hale Tablets one month before the quit date you chose. This will help prevent depression and anxiety, and help stabilize your blood sugar levels and avoid excess weight gain.
During this preparation phase it is important to identify your vulnerable situations and makes changes while you are still smoking normally.
Tips for Success during Step 1
It is a good idea to start an exercise program or start a new hobby. This will help to occupy your mind and keep you physically busy during this preparation process.

STEP 2 - Breaking the Habit (4 weeks) Once the preparation month is over, and your quit'date arrives, it's important to get rid of all of your nicotine. Throw away, trash or burn all cigarettes, ashtrays, lighters and anything else you associate with your smoking habit! Continue with the exercise program and/or hobby you established throughout your 4 week preparation process.

Also, it is important to continue taking the Rx-Hale Tablets. Begin taking the Crave-Rx Drops as recommended (three to six times daily) to help reduce nicotine cravings, control your appetite and prevent the unnecessary weight gain that is often associated with quitting smoking. During this quitting phase, if you begin to experience mood swings or irritability you should use Triple Complex NicoTonic Tablets as needed for support.

They will help reduce restlessness, bad mood and agitation.
Tips for Success during Step 2
It is important to reward your success at the end of this 4 week process. Save all the money you would have spent on cigarettes during these 4 weeks and once they have passed have fun buying yourself a gift.

STEP 3 - Staying Nicotine-free You are a Non-Smoker! Now that you have quit smoking and broken the nicotine addiction, maintenance is essential. Although the physical addiction to most substances is cured or broken after 3 or 4 weeks, you now have to overcome your psychological addiction! Continue taking the Rx-Hale Tablets and Crave Rx Drops for at least three months during your maintenance phase. Do your best to stick to your exercise program and have fun enjoying your new hobby.

If you feel restless or irritable, use Triple Complex NicoTonic Tablets to calm yourself. Try to be on guard at all times and avoid thoughts like "it's only one cigarette". One cigarette is actually one too many for any person who had successfully quit smoking! Tips for Success during Step 3 Don't forget to reward yourself at the end of every month.

Have fun and celebrate your Quitting Anniversary. How has the Stop Smoking Program helped others? "As you asked us to write in and tell you how it went, I wanted to share with you that I have not smoked for 9 weeks now. Using the Rx-Hale tablets for the first month before I stopped really helped to prepare me.

When the day came I was ready and felt very confident. Like you said it was not easy and I am grateful that you said that because I expected to struggle, but this time my struggles paid off - unlike other attempts.

My worst enemy when I tried before was my mood swings which ALWAYS took me back to the cigarettes! I found that sucking the NicoTonic tablets was so soothing and really helped me to calm down. Where I am now, the craving is much better and I think the addiction is gone.

Now I don't crave cigarettes but I still MISS them!!! I know I have a long road ahead of me, but this is the first time I feel like I will succeed. I still feel confident and so much healthier and I want to recommend your products and the program to ANYONE who wants to seriously stop smoking.

" —Monica Ann.

"This has really really helped me! I am (was!) a 20 a day guy and have been for many years....... After a bad bout of headaches I went to my doc who diagnosed blood pressure and said if I did not change my habits I would kill myself! Didn't want to do that, so I looked around and came across your website. I can honestly say that I haven't looked back - if I had known it would be so easy, I would have stopped long ago and saved myself all the expense and damage to my body.

I guess I have to consider myself lucky - things could have been very different." —Rob K. "I wanted to let you know that it has been four weeks and I still haven't had a cigarette! I have NEVER lasted more than three days. There have been up days and down days, but I have survived.

I feel as determined as I did when I started and I am still determined that I never want to start smoking again. My body still craves and I get ratty as hell - but the NicoTonic tablets help tremendously with that and are my lifesaver! Thanks for a wonderful and healthy way to stop smoking!

"—BMH

Supporting Emotional Health and Positive Energies.

Serotonin is an important neurotransmitter manufactured and found in the brain. Along with other neurotransmitters, serotonin helps to support emotional wellness and sleep patterns as well as energy levels, sex drive and appetite.

Serotonin also promotes healthy concentration, a positive mental attitude, memory and mental alertness. Other neurotransmitters such as dopamine, as well as certain hormones like cortisol are also involved in maintaining balanced mood and feelings of confidence and well-being.

While your feelings are not all about brain chemicals, the delicate balance between neurotransmitters and other hormones can play a big part in maintaining emotional stability, wellness and a positive outlook. Lifestyle, stress management and maintaining healthy relationships all contribute to happiness.

However, when there are challenges to face, a solid foundation of emotional health, balanced brain chemistry and a healthy self esteem will make all the difference to how we are able to cope or have the emotional strength to make changes necessary to improve our lives.

The natural way

A lot can be done to naturally maintain emotional health and a healthy positive mental attitude.

It is a good idea to keep your natural feel-good chemicals flowing by eating lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and whole grain foods, ensuring plenty of fresh air, adequate sleep, moderate sunshine and regular exercise. Many healthy foods (e.g. bananas, turkey and carbohydrates) contain nutritional precursors of serotonin and this makes them natural ‘mood foods’ to maintain healthy serotonin levels!

Also, never underestimate the power of a few stolen minutes during the workday (or school day) to rejuvenate the spirit and relax the mind – meditation, yoga or listening to a calming CD can all promote relaxation. Smoking, recreational drugs and alcohol can all depress the nervous system and affect the balance of neurotransmitters like serotonin – so try to cut back or avoid these habits for the sake of your emotional as well as your physical health.

Natural remedies have been used in traditional medicine for thousands of years to gently and safely support the healthy functioning of the brain and nervous system, as well as to maintain normal and efficient balance of emotion.

In more recent times, research has confirmed this traditional wisdom. There are now many published clinical studies demonstrating the ability of a range of herbs to support the normal functioning of the brain and nervous system and maintain balanced mood and a positive mental attitude, feelings of well-being, and support emotional wellness. (Kalb R, Trautmann-Sponsel RD, Kieser M. "Efficacy and tolerability of hypericum extract WS 5572 versus placebo in mildly to moderately depressed patients. A randomized double-blind multicenter clinical trial".

Do We have a Cure For Eczema Yet.

What is Eczema

The facts, the Research, and the Ways to Help.

Eczema is an itchy inflammation of the skin that causes it to become dry, red and thicker in some places. During a flare-up, the skin can start weeping, forming crusts, lumps or blisters. Patches of eczema are normally found on the face and hands, and inside the elbows and knees, although it can occur anywhere on the body.

Eczema tends to run in families who have a history of allergies or other allergic conditions, such as asthma. Symptoms can be triggered by an allergic reaction, where the immune system overreacts to something found in our food or the environment.

Around 10 to 20 per cent of children and three to five per cent of adults currently suffer from eczema. This number is rising, although experts are still divided over the reasons for the increase. Unfortunately, there is still no cure for eczema, but there are a number of natural ways you can control the condition and help alleviate the symptoms reports Dr Rob Hicks, author of beat your allergies.

Supplement help.
Research suggests people who have eczema don’t process essential fatty acids from food normally, leading to low levels of a fatty acid called gamma-linoleic acid (GLA). This helps your immune system work properly, so taking a supplement could help reduce the skin inflammation associated with eczema. It can take up to three months for GLA to have an effect on the body once you start taking supplements.

Evening primrose oil, starflower oil and blackcurrant seed oil all contain GLA. A number of studies have found that taking these oils could not only reduce the number of eczema flare-ups, but also how severe they are and the length of time they last. An analysis of nine scientific trials found GLA was particularly helpful at reducing itching.

Fish oils may also help eczema because they reduce levels of leukotriene B4, a compound that has been linked to the condition.
B vitamins may also play a supportive role in managing eczema. Deficiencies in some b vitamins, especially biotin and inositol, have been linked to skin disorders, while other B vitamins are needed to maintain healthy skin and good circulation.
Zinc is also vital for healthy skin because it helps with wound healing immune system. Good sources of Zinc are meat, shellfish, dairy products, nuts, bread and cereal products.

Beneficial bacteria, found in probiotic drinks, some yogurts or a supplement, such as acidophilus, are also thought to help reduce the risk of eczema flare-ups.

Herbal help, several herbs have traditionally been used to relieve the symptoms of eczema.
Liquorice root contains a substance called glycyrrhizinic acid, which is believed to help reduce the symptoms of eczema. It can be kaken internally or applied directly to the skin..
Burdock root is commonly used as it contains an active ingredient called inulin, which is thought to help rebalance the inflammatory response of the immune system that overreacts in eczema sufferers.
Chamomile and calendula have anti-inflammatory properties that can help soothe eczema flare-ups when applied to the skin.
Witch hazel, an astringent, can be applied to weeping eczema to encourage healing and prevent infection. Creams containing St John’s wort may also help reduce the length and severity of a flare-up.

Diet and Lifestyle, a good diet is key to excellent health, including the health of the skin. Try to eat at least three portions of oily fish, such as herring, mackerel, salmon and sardines, each week as they are rich in skin-calming essential fatty acids (EFA). To boost your EFA-rich oils in your diet, such as flaxseed, hemp or walnut oils. They can be used to dress salads or as a substitute for butter on your bread.
Pumpkin seeds are rich in Zinc and, along with sunflower seeds, are a good source of anti-inflammatory fats such as (ALA) alpha-linoleic acid. Try sprinkling seeds on soups and salads or nibbling them as a healthy snack.

Make sure to drink at least two litres of liquid, such as water, fruit juice or herbal tea, every day to help keep your skin hydrated. Eczema is often triggered by an allergy. The most common type, atopic eczema, is caused by the immune system overreacting to ordinary substances, such as house dust mites, animal hair or skin, and common bacteria. Getting rid of the allergen-can bring about huge improvements.

Try allergy-free bedding to reduce contact with house dust mites, or try avoiding contact with animals to see if it helps. Another type, contact eczema, is caused by a direct skin reaction to problematic substances, such as biological washing powder or nickel in watches or belt buckles. Simply swapping your washing powder and removing potential irritants can help significantly and improve the condition. Some people find that excluding foods like dairy products, wheat or eggs can help, but only if an allergy to a particular food has been diagnosed. Stress can be a major trigger for an eczema flare-up making outbreaks longer and more severe. Sufferers should do their best to avoid situations they find stressful and try to find ways to relax.

Skin Care

The skin is the largest organ of the body and accounts for about 16 percent of a person’s body weight. It is flexible, waterproof, and covers the entire outside of the body. It performs several important roles, including acting as a barrier, regulating influence between the outside environment and the controlled environment within our bodies, as well as providing assistance to the liver, kidneys, and intestines in the removal of waste.

Core functions of the skin:·

Provides a protective, external covering for the body against heat, light, injury and infection

· Acts as a mechanical barrier to infections and prevents microorganisms and other substances from entering the body, further enhanced by its anti-infective secretions

· Keratin layers in the epidermis together with sebum produced by the sebaceous glands act as a waterproof barrier

· Sensory organ for touch, heat, cold, socio-sexual and emotional sensations · Regulates body temperature

· Finger and toe nails protect the extremities of the fingers and toes from damage

· Prevents tissue fluid loss from the body

· Synthesizes vitamin D in the presence of sunlight and ultra violet radiation

· Excretes waste products and excess salt from the body If the skin fails in of one these functions, there can be serious consequences for the individual.

Because so much importance is attached to our appearance (and therefore the skin), any skin problems can also have a major psychological and social impact on the person affected. This makes it vitally important to support skin health on an ongoing process. More information on skin and boby care can be found at Native Remedies

For many years, people have made use of synthetic ingredients and chemicals in skincare and cosmetics. Nowadays, people are becoming more proactive about their health, and there is an increasing demand for pure, natural products for skincare and cosmetics, as well as an awareness of the importance in supporting skin health via systemic support. In fact, skin health and vitality is best achieved by pursuing systemic health. Following a healthy diet and exercise routine helps to support the body as a whole and can have excellent results on skin health if adhered to regularly. A good night’s sleep is also one of the best tonics you can give your skin, as all the cells of your body are rejuvenated while you are sleeping.

Remember that anything that affects your liver will definitely also affect the appearance of your skin, as your liver and skin are closely linked in their efforts to purify and cleanse the body. Cigarettes, alcohol, recreational and prescription drugs and even unhealthy, fatty fast foods can all contribute to a sluggish and unhealthy liver which will in turn affect the health and appearance of the skin.

Natural remedies have an excellent record in the maintenance skin and systemic health and are well worth exploring in a quest for skin support. More information on skin and boby care can be found at click here
